These range of products consist of Hindered Amine Ligth Stabilizers(HALS), in a Polyolefin Carrier. The HALS are selected based on their suitability for the polymer and the application intended.

The main application areas for these products are :

Established Grades :

  • HighADD UV 104A : Standard 20% UV Product in PP for Exterior Applications
  • HighADD UV 404A : Food Grade 20% UV in PP for Food Contact Applications
Polymers are known to react with Oxygen, by a process known as Auto-Oxidation, which leads to degradation of the polymer during processing in the Extruder. Anti-Oxidants are used to provide stability to the polymer by preventing Oxygen to react with the polymer during processing and afterwards.

These range of products consists of Anti-Oxdiant concentrates in a polyolefin carrier. The anti-oxidants are selected based on their suitability for the polymer and the application intended.

The main application areas for these products are :

Established Grades:

  • HighADD AO 102A : 10% Anti-Oxidant concentrate in PP , mainly used in PP Flexible Packaging
  • HighADD AO 102B : 10% Anti-Oxidant concentrate in LLDPE, mainly used in HDPE Pipes
Slip Masterbatches are used in the Packaging Industry to provide a slippage property between two layers of films. They usually consists of migratory chemicals which migrate to the surface of the film. However, at High Grade we have now introduced a new range of Slip products called Hot Slip, which are are used in specialilty applications at high temperatures.

The main applications areas for these products are :

  • Polyolefin Shrink Films
  • Flexible Packaging
  • BOPP/CPP Films

Established Grades :

  • HighADD SLIP 101C : 5% Slow Migratory slip concentrate in LDPE, mainly used in Shrink Films / Flexible Packaging
  • HighADD SLIP 102A : 10% Slow Migratory slip concentrate in PP, mainly intended for BOPP/CPP Films.
Anti-Blocks are used in the Packaging Industry to aid in enhancing film properties during processing. Anti-Blocks work by modifying the surface of films during production.

There are two types of Anti-Blocks, Inorganic & Organic, & should be used based on applications intended. Organic Anti-Block are mainly used when high clarity is required or when the film is used for metalizable applications.

Organic Anti-Blocks impart anti-blocking property to the film surface and at the same time do not cause a hazy appearance on the film surface.

These products are mainly used for those film related applications which need Anti-blocking properties at a lower COF value.

These compounds are mainly used in the BOPP/CPP film industry and High Grade has developed different grades depending on the COF required by the customers.

Established Grades :

  • HighADD Block 101A : 5% Silica Based concentrate in PP , mainly used in BOPP / CPP Films.
  • HighADD Block 2C01A: 5% Organic AntiBlock concentrate in PP, mainly intended for Metallizable BOPP/CPP Films.
Optical Brighteners are added to camouflage the yellowness of the Polymer due to catalyst residue/effect in polymerization and also to retain the color of Polymer due to heat & shear degradation during processing.

Optical brighteners are also called Fluorescent Whitening agents. Such Masterbatches are added in polymers to reduce yellowing, impart improved whiteness and to enhance the brightness of a product.

These Masterbatches work via a fluorescent mechanism which absorbs light in the UV spectrum and emits light in the blue region of visible spectrum to yield a brighter and fresher appearance.

Estalished Grades :

  • HighADD OBA X1A – 1% OB based product in LLDPE, mainly for Packaging Films
Polymers by nature have very good insulating properties but these very properties may lead to a number of handling and other problems.

Static charge may result in clinging of sheet and film sticking to the rollers , attract dust and dirt. Also, a sudden static charge generated during processing can create sparks/shocks to the operator and also damage electronic components.

Anti-static agents are added in polymers to prevent propagation of static charges developed in processing due to higher linear speeds. During processing they prevent fouling, packaging film defects caused by sparks and improve release of injection or blow molded articles.

These Masterbatches contain processing aids whichcoat the inner surface of the die, during extrusion, thereby reducing the friction between the melt & metal and allow polymers to extrude more easily.

  • HighADD PPA2X2B : 2% PPA based product in LLDPE
Anti-Fog Masterbatches : Anti-Fogs are used to prevent the formation of fog on the inside of plastic film. The most common uses are agricultural films and for food packaging applications.

Flame Retardant Masterbatches : Flame Retardants are added to polymers to increase resistance to ignition and suppress smoke formation. High Grade FR Compounds are of two types- Halogen based & Non-Halogen based flame retardants.Halogen based flame retardants are the most commonly used FR’s because they are cost effective and require a lower loading than non-halogen based.Non-halogenated Flame Retardant’s are of two types, Phosphorous & Metal Hydroxide based.

Nucleating Agent Masterbatches : These Polymer Masterbatches are based on organic chemistry and improve the clarity of semi-crystalline polymers like polypropylene by restructuring of the molecules during the processing stage, reducing crystallity thereby improving the optical and mechanical properties.

White Masterbatches/Compounds are used in the plastic industry to provide Opacity and Whiteness in the intended application.

High Grade’s HighPURE range of White Compounds/Masterbatches are used for a variety of applications such as Packaging Films, BOPP Films, Tubes, Blow & Injection Moulding, Roto Moulding , as well as Profiles, Milk Pouches and Lamination.

Our White Compounds also contain a special additive package which enable excellent dispersion of pigments such as TiO2 to provide the best color and Opacity (whiteness) for the customers.

High Grade offers a wide range of white compounds/masterbatches with a concentration of up to 80 % titanium dioxide based on PE, PP, PET,PBT among others.

These Compounds facilitate excellent dispersion and can be incorporated easily.

We at High Grade have recently installed capacities for the manufacture of colour masterbatches into a variety of polymers such as PE,PP,PET & PBT with a wide range of colours catering to a variety of applications.

We are specialized in Mono Colour (High Dosing) Colour concentrates with pigment loading more than 50% for some applications.

Our laboratories are equipped with the instruments such as Spectrophotometers which help in colour identification & prompt colour matching along-with a dedicated team that ensures to cater the most challenging requirements of customers.

Our Application development lab can match colour masterbatches intended to be used in the specific application desired by the customer.

Black Masterbatches are used to impart blackness in the final application desired. We manufacture a variety of speciality black masterbatches in a range of polymers such as Olefins (PP,PE) & Polyesters (PET & PBT).

We use German Twin Screw technology from Coperion Gmbh in the manufacturing of these Masterbatches & have a current installed capacity of 10,000 tons per annum with further expansions planned to take the capacity to 15,000 tons by 2021.

PRODUCTS

PET & PBT Based :

Our PET & PBT Black Masterbatches cater to a vast variety of applications in Virgin & Recycled PSF (Staple Fiber) & Filament such as POY , FDY & DTY.
Most of these grades are tailor-made for customers and vary with the tone and the dosage of Carbon Black.

Polyester based black masterbatches come in a variety of dosages from 21% upto 30% Carbon based products.

PE based :

PE base Black Masterbatches are used for Pipes, Molding & Extrusion applications such as Mulch Films. These products are available in resins such as PP,LLDPE, HDPE and are usually tailor-made for customers based on their specification and final application intended.
PE based black masterbatches come in a variety of dosages from 30% upto 50% Carbon based products.

PP Based :

We offer PP base black masterbatches mainly for the PP Multifilament industry with dosages varying from 30% to 50%
